Smart Wallet: Earn Yield on Your Stablecoin Balances

Axel, Co-founder & Head of Product

For years, the industry forced a tradeoff: lock up your money to earn yield on it, or keep it readily accessible but idle.
We're changing that with Smart Wallet, our new self-custodial wallet brings together holding and earning into one experience. Smart Wallet allows clients' balances of eligible stablecoins to earn yield automatically while keeping their funds available to spend, send, or convert.
Automatic earning on select stablecoins
Smart Wallet currently offers 2% APY on USDC and USDT (Ethereum) and USDC (Base). Once deposited in your Smart Wallet, Reah automatically allocates them to supported earning strategies. These strategies currently consist primarily of Spark Protocol’s USDC and USDT vaults yield-bearing savings vaults.
Users can view their total balance, today’s earnings, holding earnings, and historical earnings directly in their Smart Wallet.

Fund availability and self-custody
Smart Wallet is built on the EIP-7702 standard, introducing smart-account capabilities while preserving full self-custody. This enables automated earning, fund preparation, and combined transaction flows without transferring control of the assets to a Reah-custodied account.
Users can Receive, Send, and Convert assets directly, just as they would with a standard Wallet. When funds allocated to an earning strategy are needed, Reah automatically prepares the required amount and incorporates any necessary redemption into the transaction flow.
Rates and risk considerations
The current 2% APY may be adjusted based on market conditions and product policies. Returns and fund availability may also be affected by underlying protocols, smart-contract risks, stablecoin prices, and on-chain liquidity.
